Join my Comic Book Writing Course
I'm teaming up with ELVTR to deliver an exciting seven-week online course for comic creators across the APAC region
Long-term readers may remember that I talked about creating an online course about writing comics late last year. Well, a short while later, I was approached by online training company ELVTR to see if I would be interested in coming on board as the instructor for a new Comic Book Writing course aimed at comic creators across the APAC region.
The result is a seven-week online programme running from Tuesday, 25th August to Thursday, 8th October. I'll be teaching live lessons twice a week at 7pm AEST, alongside special one-to-one sessions for enrolled students.
It’s the sort of course I’ve wanted to teach for years – the kind of practical, behind-the-scenes guide I would have loved to have had when I was starting out.
With guest speakers, interactive workshops, and an assignment to write a 20-page script, we'll explore what it really takes to write comics professionally, from the tricks of the trade to the practicalities of working with artists, editors and publishers.
