My final comics of 2025
plus new interviews, blogs and Monster Mechas!
Hello there!
It's my last big plug of the year as I have my final two comics of 2025 out today, both bringing miniseries to a close.
ALL HAIL THE IRON KING
First up is Iron & Frost #3 from Marvel with art by the fantastic Ruairí Coleman.
X YEARS LATER, the IRON KING reigns supreme — and time is running out. Emma Frost must risk everything to reach the man she once loved. Devastation in the future is guaranteed, but can a desperate gambit save the past?
Let's have a look at the preview pages:

I loved working with Ruairí on this one. He's such a talent. If you read his newsletter you'll see he's working on a top secret mini-series right now. Can't wait to find out what it is.
ICYMI Ruairí shared his perfect Sunday with us a while back. You can find it here:

Iron & Frost #3 is published by Marvel.
FINAL VISIT TO THE NIGHTLANDS
Also out today is issue three of Star Wars: Tales from the Nightlands, this year's Halloween series from a galaxy far, far away and I'm reunited with horror comic superstar Robert Hack – who I first teamed up with in Star Wars: Tales from Vader's Castle when they let us retell the Wicker Man with Ewoks!
As the First Order spreads fear across the galaxy, Leia, Rey, Chewie, and Finn rush to deliver aid to a Twi’lek colony. But upon arriving, they find something much worse than Stormtroopers: the terrifying Nightlander! The heroes must scramble to stop the otherworldly fiend, lest it escape into the land of the living and make the galaxy its ghastly domain!

Yup, that's Aaloth – first introduced in the Life Day Treasury and better known as Lourna Dee's homeworld if you're a fan of the High Republic.
I love putting in these little Easter eggs for my other Star Wars work! There's even a little nod to The Jaws of Jakku in this issue, too!
As with Ruairí, Robert also shared his perfect Sunday a few weeks back. If you missed it, you can find it here:

THINGS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED!
Here's where I've been online over the last month...
- NEW BLOG: Last week was tough for a few reasons so I made time at the weekend for a little festive lino printing, Christmas pudding making and stories new and old. Turned out to be just what the Doctor ordered!

- NEW (FAKE) COVER: Keith Hopewell and I dropped the latest entry in our Monster Mechas project – imaginary comic covers for a '80s toy line that never existed.

- NEW INTERVIEW: I popped up on the Now This is Lit podcast talking to Meg Dowell about The Jaws of Jakku, writing to Star Wars soundtracks and so much more!
- FINAL MONTH: I turned the page on the final month of Julien Morvan's beautiful Star Wars: The High Republic fan calendar. Having this on my studio wall has been one of the highlights of my year!

THAT'S ALL FOLKS
That wraps everything up for today. I'm currently counting the days until my holiday break! Roll on Christmas in the Scott household! I hope you're going to get chance to relax this midwinter too.
In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for a special post on Friday when I ask for your opinions on where the Cavletter should go next!
Until then, take care of yourself and each other!
