New Event: Unearthed at Bristol Folk House
Join me, Gemma Amor, Tim Lebbon and Dan Coxon to celebrate the launch of our new ancient ruin-inspired horror anthology
I'm gearing up for a busy promotional period with three big releases over the next few months.
The first is Unearthed, a new short story collection edited by Dan Coxon and Philip Fracassi, featuring tales of terror all linked to ancient sites. I chose Stonehenge, thinking someone must have got there first. Amazingly, Dan went for it. I was over the moon.
My contribution, ReHistory, is presented in a slightly different format from a traditional short story, as readers will discover when the book hits shelves on 15th September.
To celebrate, Dan has planned a number of events, and I'm very pleased to announce that I will be taking part in the South West launch at my beloved Bristol Folk House on 5th November at 8pm.
I'll be appearing alongside horror legends Gemma Amor and Tim Lebbon, plus Dan himself, with doors opening at 7pm.
Tickets are absolutely free, but you'll need to book online via the Folk House website to secure a seat.

Unearthed digs beneath these crumbling structures to reveal their archaic pasts, and their darkest secrets. Featuring the best modern writers of horror and dark fantasy, these stories explore the caverns and the catacombs, the ruined temples and the monoliths – and drag an ancient evil back into the light.
WHAT I'M WORKING ON
Thanks to pesky NDAs, I can’t reveal many details about what I’m writing at the moment, so I’ve come up with a sneaky list of project names. Keep an eye on future editions. I'll update everything as the work progresses!
Project: Avarice
- A novelisation for a fantasy franchise, currently in copy edits.

- A graphic novel adaptation of a top romantasy novel. Currently scripting.
Project: Soldier
- A newly commissioned fantasy novel, currently awating editorial feedback on the outline.

- Working with Warlord Game on the lore and creative direction for the weird World War II tabletop game.
