Proud Dad moment: Crispy witch edition
The family that scares together, stays together...
It's no secret that I'm ridiculously proud of my kids. Both are in the middle of spooky season at the moment, with my eldest, Chloe, once again performing in our local scream park. She's terrifying... in the best possible way!
My youngest, Connie, is currently at college studying theatrical make-up and, for her latest project, had to devise a witchy look for Halloween. Ever the horror fan, she went for a burned witch.
And when I say burned, I mean burned.
Just look at the photo shoot – and be warned... it's not for the squeamish!

Be still, my gore-loving heart! That's my girl!
Part of the assignment is that Connie had to come up with a backstory. This is a good witch who lives in the woods, helping folk with her nature magic. One terrible day everything changes when an evil witch-hunter storms into her home and drags a burning torch down her face. Left alone and scarred, the animals of the woodlands have come to her aid, the spiders that live in the rafters of her cottage weaving a healing web to ease the woman’s pain.
My head is already spinning with ideas of what happens next.
